...it's bad enough that people are catching on to grittier Christian tales. Now they are copying my ideas on covers.

I've contacted a cover artist on my next book. I tell them, "Just don't give me a cover with the central character portrayed in the center with some sort of neon-colored somethingorother behind them. Basically, what I'm looking for is something unique. I'd rather use elements from the story than character portraits or illustrations themselves."

I get a reply from the author. "Covers without a character are gaining in popularity every day..."

{Sigh}

HOW AM I EVER GOING TO BECOME AN EDGY, ANGSTY TRAILBLAIZER THAT NO ONE TRUELY UNDERSTANDS WHEN EVERYONE KEEPS FOLLOWING ME?!?!?!?
